Chris Farlowe

One-time amateur boxer, Chris began his musical career with his own skiffle group, having being influenced by Skiffle legend Lonnie Donegan; by the mid 1960s he was touring The Thunderbirds

On the 16th September 1966 Chris appeared on the legendary “Ready Steady Go! Special” with none other than the great Otis Redding performing a tremendous solo version of “This Is A Man’s World” before joining in with Otis & Eric Burdon with “Shake” & “Land of 1000 Dances”

Chris is probably best remembered for his version of the Jagger-Richard composition “Out Of Time” and Mike D’abo’s “Handbags and Gladrags”, later being covered by Rod Stewart and The Stereophonics.

In the 1970s he worked with super group’s Coliseum & Atomic Rooster

The 80's saw Chris's re-emergence from semi-retirement; guesting on Jimmy Page's highly acclaimed “Outrider” album and bringing the house down at a Radio one live show with his rendition of “Stormy Weather”.

Chris still continues to tour with no indication of stopping and; “The Voice” is as strong as ever.

Now available as a Special Guest with The New Amen Corner
